SOLD OUT Big, Bold, Gorgeous Florals in Watercolor Workshop Day 2

  • Austin ArtWorks Center 300 N. Main St. Austin, MN 55912 (map)

July 28th, 29th and 30th from 9am- 5pm each day (with one hour lunch break)

Geared towards ages 16+

Instructor: Georgia Kandiko

On day 1 we will start with a quick watercolor skill review covering value, washes, wet-into-wet painting and drying phases. Each day we will focus on one flower type, starting by painting card size views and playing with color choices. Next, we will choose one to blow up to half sheet size. Skills we will work on will include underpainting, employing the value of color for dramatic effect, using analogous and complementary colors, and fun backgrounds. Georgia has loads of flower references but feel free to bring ones you love.

Materials not included for this class, please refer to the supply list on the class shop.

This class is funded in part by the Barb Orcutt Memorial Fund. We fondly remember Barb and we know she would want us to make art.
