Location: Upstairs Gallery at the Austin ArtWorks Center

Embrace the warmth of Tuscany through this beginner friendly watercolor class. Led by Minnesota artist Caroline Porter, students will learn a variety of techniques including, wet on wet, wet on dry, hot to use masking fluid, and more. To help gain confidence, students will first practice on scrap paper before working on their final piece. Everyone will start off with a basic pencil sketch of a window so students can focus on painting techniques instead of drawing.

The instructor will provide all necessary materials for this class, however, if you would like to use your own materials (i.e. paints or brushes), students are more than welcome to bring their own. Feel free to bring a notebook to take notes. It is highly encouraged to practice what you learn during this workshop at home.
