Learn the foundational skills of surface decorating and glazing in this hands-on workshop. Whether you're just starting out or already have some experience, you'll get the time and instruction to build your decorating skills. We'll start with the basics of clay stages and when to apply each material, then work with underglaze, wax resist, and white slip to see how each one interacts with glaze and changes the look of a finished piece. Every technique gets a live demo before you try it yourself on test tiles or your own work. Bring your own leather-hard or bisque pieces if you'd like to decorate them, and test tiles will be provided so you can experiment freely. All skill levels welcome.
