Discover the versatility of gouache painting in this four-session class series. Gouache is an opaque, water-based paint that combines the blendability of watercolor with the vibrant, matte finish of acrylics. Unlike acrylic paint, gouache can be reactivated with water after it dries, making it easy to layer, blend, and make adjustments as you work.
Throughout this series, students will learn the fundamentals of painting with gouache, including color mixing, layering, blending, brush techniques, and creating depth and texture. After practicing essential techniques, students will apply their skills through guided painting projects while gaining confidence to experiment with their own creative ideas.
This class meets on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday one week in October. All supplies are included, and each student will receive their own pan of gouache paints to take home at the end of the series.
