This world is a messy place. My paintings are my way of interpreting all of it. I have strong opinions about what is happening around us. My work reflects these feelings. As a result, some of the pictures are aggressive and some are quiet. The quiet ones are necessary for me to decompress, and become calm again, after the energy it takes to make the passionate ones. When I am creating these pieces, I lose myself. Sometimes, it is as if I wake up from a dream after the painting is complete and can't remember how it happened. I love those moments.. It is all alchemy. It manifests itself on it's own. It is magic . Abstract painting is a way to make a commentary on the world around us without putting our thoughts into words. Poetry.

The basic truth is, I make art because it is in me. It has to get out somehow. Without it, I would be lost, sad, frustrated, and insane. But most of all, incomplete. I am so grateful for the gift that I have been given. And I feel it is my responsibility to give it to the world.

My wish for you, as the observer, is that you would feel something when you look at my work. That is what abstract art is all about. xx
